Midnight tonight is the year’s most important deadline for animals in labs. If you want to stop animal testing, this is the most important email you will ever receive. Read this if you really want to help animals in labs or unsubscribe.
Taxpayer, has a pig ever screamed in your ear?
Do you know what that sounds like? I’m ashamed to say that I do.
I’m Anthony Bellotti, founder of White Coat Waste (WCW).
But 29 years ago, I worked in an ANIMAL TESTING lab.
Me and Delilah (govt ID #87). I adopted her after WCW shut down the U.S. government’s top cat lab. 22 of Delilah’s kittens were killed & burned. 5,435 others perished—until I won the campaign. Now, she’s my best friend.
One day, they instructed me to "restrain the specimen."
I hoisted a small, female pig upside down by her hind legs, forcibly strapped her down, and penetrated her skull with electrodes.
The pig urinated all over the table in fear, Taxpayer. Trust me: she KNEW these were the final moments of her awful life.

Another day, an experimenter told me about what he did to a small mammal after a different test had finished.
Taxpayer, that’s when I dedicated my life to ending sadistic “science.”
Tonight, I’m leading the emergency campaign to save 20 more kittens and 11 deformed dogs from crippling experiments at the University of Pennsylvania.
NIH’s funding for this lab is up for renewal at midnight. And UPenn is my alma mater—so I’m throwing EVERYTHING into this fight.
Will you send help by 11:59 tonight?
Actual lab photos from UPenn. This poor cat was bred with MPS: a debilitating disease that causes short ears, a broad face—and an early death.
Tonight’s midnight deadline will either be my greatest success or my greatest failure. It will go down one of two ways…
Taxpayer, tonight—for the very first time in my career—I think we’re going to lose.
And we’re going lose for the worst possible (and totally preventable) reason: not enough people are chipping in to help UPenn’s disabled dogs and cats.
Taxpayer, meet the lab animals at UPenn…
Kittens and puppies deliberately bred to suffer from incurable genetic disorders.
They’re deformed, diseased, and disabled.
And, if we don't cover our budget, they’re doomed.
Taxpayer, WCW is the nation’s most effective organization at getting animals out of labs.
Just look what you and I accomplished this past year:
But Taxpayer, these wins only happened because you stepped up to an email appeal like this.
Taxpayer, will you help me again?

I founded WCW on my own dime, out of my own pocket.
Unfortunately, I can't do it alone:
TONIGHT is the year’s most important deadline. The books close at 11:59 pm.

P.S. DEADLINE: Midnight Match for Taxpayer. I know how to win. I know how to close animal labs—and save lab animals. But I can’t do it alone. Sadly, grassroots support just didn’t happen tonight.
