Our ALERT Desk, which monitors anti-LGBTQ hate, serves as a go-to resource for reporters looking to accurately cover any anti-LGBTQ attack, from drag show protests to Pride flag vandalism and threats against transgender healthcare providers. We also educate reporters in newsrooms across the country on LGBTQ issues through our Newsroom Briefings. This year, we visited 51 newsrooms and trained over 1,000 journalists. As long as our community faces hate, we will ensure it makes the news. The media cannot let anti-LGBTQ attacks be ignored.
