VICTORY IN OREGON!

Oregon voters chose a new slate of candidates on Tuesday, and two of our LGBTQ candidates wontheir races!

Congratulations to Kate Lieber, who is on track to make history as the first out lesbian member of the Oregon state Senate!

And a big congratulations to Rob Nosse, who will continue to be a strong voice for LGBTQ equality in the Oregon state House when he wins in November.

Things continue to heat up in Ritchie Torres’ race for New York’s 15th Congressional District: Bronx United launched an attack ad highlighting Rubén Díaz Sr.’s anti-LGBTQ record. Need a refresher on the race? Newsweek has you covered.

Spotlight candidate Kim Jackson received a glowing profile from Shondaland! Read up on her race and our chance to make history in the Georgia state Senate.

Spotlight candidate Jessica Benham received an endorsement from Represent PA, a group dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women! Jess also joined Victory Fund endorsed incumbents Brian Sims and Malcolm Kenyatta for WINNING 2020! They’re ready to bring more LGBTQ representation to the Pennsylvania state legislature. We think these two speeches from the Pennsylvania House floor earned Malcolm Kenyatta his reelection: one where he passionately defended low-wage workers facing higher danger from COVID-19 and one where he told his coming out story to demand an end to discrimination against the LGBTQ community.

Endorsed candidates Jabari Brisport (running for New York state Senate), Kyle Meraz (running for the Oklahoma House of Representatives and Rosemary Ketchum (running for the Wheeling (KY) City Council) joined us for an update on their races and their daily work to combat the impacts of COVID-19. Yesterday in an email to our Texas supporters, we mistakenly described Texas state Representative Sarah Davis as "anti-LGBTQ." She is not and is in fact a strong ally of the community and a member of the Texas House LGBTQ Caucus. We truly apologize for the error.
