As we near the end of this year and the start of a new one, our team is reflecting on all of the incredible work Rob has accomplished in 2024 thanks to your support.
As California Attorney General, Rob’s job is to serve as the People’s Attorney — fighting for justice and standing up for the rights of Californians and people everywhere.
Here are just a few of our achievements from the past year together:
- To protect reproductive rights, Rob filed a lawsuit against Providence St. Joseph Hospital alleging it broke several California laws by refusing to provide emergency abortion care to those who needed it.
- Rob filed a lawsuit against ExxonMobil this year for allegedly conducting a decades-long campaign of deception that caused and exacerbated the global plastics crisis. Rob will always fight for the environment and hold corporate polluters accountable.
- To fight for consumers, Rob sponsored a bill to ban medical debt from appearing on credit reports.
- Rob took on the gun violence epidemic by barring ghost guns from being manufactured or sold in California, holding a series of roundtable discussions with local leaders on reducing gun violence in California, and banned the sale of firearms on state property.
- Earlier this year, Rob announced a settlement with the City of Elk Grove over its unlawful denial of a proposed housing project for lower-income households at risk of homelessness. Rob is committed to making housing affordable for all Californians.
None of this would have been possible without the support of people like you. But with a second Trump presidency, right-wing control of Congress, and ongoing challenges ahead, we really have our work cut out for us in 2025.
