Email fundraising is effective. We’ve found that email appeals — especially during all-hands-on-deck emergencies like the UPenn rapid response campaign — are the quickest way to raise the money required to shut down labs.

Here’s the actual email appeal we sent on March 23, 2017. That’s when our investigators first needed your help to EXPOSE the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) dog lab in Richmond.

And this: 

Here’s the actual email appeal I sent you six years ago. On November 12, 2018, we launched a rapid response campaign at the VA and needed your help to CLOSE its Richmond dog lab. 

Our average donation from these emails?

Six-month-old puppies. Latex injected into their arteries. Tethered to a treadmill. Forced to run in heart attack tests.  

No anesthesia. No pain relief. 

The Richmond lab at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs was the most painful dog experimentation laboratory in the entire federal government…  

And it was SHUT DOWN by our rapid response email campaign!  

WCW is proud to be the only animal protection group to successfully close federal dog labs in nearly 20 years. No other organization has closed any in decades.   

Bottom line: WCW = White Coat WINS.

As you can see here, the VA planned to stick a needle in these hounds, kill them, and incinerate them… like garbage.

This is ABC News from April 29, 2021. You gave. Then, we made the VA RETIRE survivors like Garnet. 

Taxpayer, meet Garnet. She was once known as hound #210332 at the VA’s treadmill and heart attack lab in Richmond.

As you can see, she was purchased from the very same puppy mill that NIH shops at:  

But because YOU gave money to our rapid response email fundraiser, WCW rescued Garnet and the P.O.W.s and got them into loving homes… where they belong:
