Hey there, John,
David here with Stewardship Utah. I wanted to make sure you saw Greg’s email from a couple of weeks ago regarding our match campaign. A generous donor, John Miller of Salt Lake City, has agreed to donate $25,000 if their donation is matched by our grassroots supporters for a total of $50,000 raised before the end of the year, and we're just $5,009 short of our goal!
That’s enough resources for our team to host training events on running for office throughout Utah all year, building a strong bench of new climate champions. Or, with that money, we can work to add many more cities into the Community Renewable Energy Program, Utah’s best option to provide clean energy to its residents. These are just two of the many ways your donation can benefit our important work as we have a chock full 2025!
Can you help us reach our goal? [[link removed]] A donation of $25, $50, or $100 goes a long way, or you can make it monthly to support our efforts year-round! Either way, we’re thrilled to have earned your support!
Double Your Impact! [[link removed]]
Onwards,
David Garbett, Co-Director

Hello David,
Greg here from Stewardship Utah. The shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, is close and marks the end of quite the year for Stewardship Utah. We want to thank you for joining us on our 2024 journey to create and build our little organization and celebrate our progress in protecting the land, air, and water for all in Utah. As we wind down 2024, we have the chance to start our new year on the right track, but we need your support.
Between now and December 31st, a generous donor, John Miller of Salt Lake City, will match all donations up to $25,000! That means your $25 donation becomes $50 and so on, for a total of $50,000 that goes directly to our time at the legislative session, working to pass the impactful policy Stewardship Utah has developed for our land, air, water, and rights to vote. Please consider a donation before the end of the year and double your impact as we cross into a busy 2025. [[link removed]]

Thank you for giving us your support over the past 12 months. Together, we achieved so much:
* The Rural Utah Project and O2 Utah merged, creating Stewardship Utah!!
* Brought on two Policy Associates dedicated to working on the Great Salt Lake and protecting our voting rights, adding much-needed policy capacity to our team.
* During this year’s elections, over 72% of Stewardship Utah’s endorsed candidates won their races.
* Submitted an application for a $20,000,000 EPA Community Change Grant (the first collaboration with the Navajo Nation of its kind.) * Our grant focuses on weatherizing and improving heating infrastructure for homes in the Utah portion of the Navajo nation –improving quality of life and health while reducing emissions from dirty heat sources.
* We have not yet heard back on whether we have received this grant, so keep your fingers crossed!

* Collected 300 survey responses from community members in rural Utah in support of the EPA Community Change Grant.
* Stewardship Utah, alongside a coalition of other groups, worked to stop Amendment D from becoming a reality, which would have stripped Utahns of their right to ballot initiatives.
* Stopped potential legislation that would have drastically changed Vote-By-Mail deadlines and further disenfranchise rural communities (twice.)
* Worked with Midvale leaders to sign them on to the Community Renewable Energy program , one of the cities' best tools to transition to clean energy for their residents.
* Worked with local leaders like Natalie Pinkney and Jake Fitisemanu to elevate their positions and elect them to higher office–highlighting that smaller public service positions are a great start to achieve higher levels of office later on.
* Collected over 2,900 signatures supporting vote-by-mail in Utah.
* Collected 278 signatures (so far), supporting our public lands and opposing Utah’s disingenuous Stand for Your Land Campaign.
* Became one of the most influential progressive PACs in the state.
* Registered 747 voters on the Utah portion of the Navajo Nation.
* Registered over 11,500 voters in Arizona.
* Alongside partners at Mark Miller Subaru, removed over 1,300 lbs of trash from the shores of the Great Salt Lake.
* Participated in a third Stewardship project hosted by SUWA, in Utah’s West Desert * 22 updated wilderness signs
* 8 fire rings were cleaned and remediated
* 237 feet of fencing repaired and moved
* 1,254 hammer strikes to remediate buck and rail fencing, preserving wilderness areas

The support of our community allows Stewardship Utah to work every day, producing results like these. We have much to do, and thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have the chance to start 2025 strong with a $25,000 match. Help us keep our momentum and consider donating before 12/31.
David, it’s crucial that we hit our fundraising goals before the end of the year–can we count on your support? [[link removed]]
We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for all you have given. Together, we will protect the land, air, and water for all in Utah.
