I have an FEC deadline at midnight, and I wanted to take a moment to share why this deadline matters. Before I ask for a contribution, please give me a chance to explain.

This is the last deadline of 2024 and the last one before Trump and the new Congress are sworn in. Republicans are about to have full control of Washington, and there’s no denying that it sucks. A lot of families are rightfully worried about the damage a second Trump administration could unleash.

But we cannot preemptively give up. The truth is Republicans’ margins in the House and Senate are extremely narrow. We’ve gone through this before, and we learned a lot. When we’re united and willing to do the hard work of organizing, our movement has the power to make a real difference.

So how does this deadline matter? After we close the books, we are required to report our numbers publicly. Republicans, the gun lobby, and ultra-wealthy corporate interests are going to be looking. They are banking on Democrats feeling defeated and not having what it takes to fight back.

So I don’t want to show any signs of vulnerability for them to exploit. The best way to do that today is by raising as many individual contributions as possible. The donation itself is just as important as the amount. So I’m asking:
