You’re probably going to get a lot of emails today asking you to make a donation, team. (Trust us, we get them, too!)

Today’s an important day for a lot of organizations — end-of-year fundraising results inform budgets for the next year. That’s why there are plenty of worthy people and causes crowding your inbox, fighting for your attention, and asking you to chip in before midnight tonight. 

But if you’re going to make just one donation today, it should be to DAGA. Here’s why:

1. We don’t have off years. There are AG races in 2025, 2026, and beyond that require our attention. We need the resources to support candidates in all corners of the country in the years ahead.
2. Our country is at a turning point, and Democratic AGs will play a large role in protecting our country from Donald Trump’s most extreme plans. Dem AGs are our last line of defense against far-right attacks on our freedom. 
3. Attorney General races are often close, sometimes won by a fraction of a percent. $5 or $10 today can genuinely make the difference between winning and losing our races in the years to come. 

We know there are a lot of good organizations in your inbox right now. But we mean it when we say: We’re counting on your contribution in order to elect Dem AGs and protect our country’s rights and freedoms.
