Hello Friend,
Twenty-two years ago, we
founded Americans for Safe Access
(ASA) to bring patient voices into the national
cannabis debate. Together, we secured groundbreaking
victories: medical cannabis programs in most states, product safety
standards once deemed impossible, federal protections for state-legal
medical programs, and even an acknowledgment from the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services that cannabis has medical
value.
Despite these victories, we
seem to be approaching a crossroads rather than the tipping point we
had envisioned. Let's review the
events that impacted medical cannabis policy in
2024, shall
we?

2024 Takeaway... we still have work to
do! ASA members have played a significant role in getting us
to this stage in our strategic plan! Are you ready

am! In fact, I'm returning to spearhead a nationwide
initiative to ensure this happens, the final stage of realizing ASA’s
mission. Let me show you what we have in

communications professionals, but we need the resources to move
quickly and decisively.
Together, we can guide the
national dialogue, build a powerful coalition, and move Congress to
create a cohesive medical cannabis framework—ensuring that patients
gain the rights and access they deserve. Are you with
