Happy New Year’s Eve! I hope you have managed to take some time to relax and reflect with your friends and families this holiday season.

This last year was filled with triumphs and challenges. And as we look on to January and beyond, I’m more optimistic than ever for the future of our movement. With our wins in key districts this November, we have put ourselves in an excellent position to lock down pro-RCV legislative majorities in 2026.

But while I’m optimistic, I know nothing will happen all by itself. It will take a lot of work in both 2025 and 2026 to build the support we need to get the RCV Local Options Bill passed two years from now, and along the way we’ll surely have to defend RCV from anti-democratic attacks like those we saw in Minnetonka and Bloomington.
