Email from Zionist Organization of America ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA ZOA Campus Closes Out 2024 in Eretz Yisrael on One-of-a-Kind Student Mission Dear Friends, ZOA is happy to end this calendar year with our ZOA Campus staff and student leaders wrapping up their winter 2024 Israel Mission. These students, already courageous and driven to fight hostile antisemitism, are now more equipped than ever to take what they’ve learned back to campus and defend their own civil rights and those of all of their Jewish peers. ZOA is the ONLY student mission that visits communities and families all over Judea/Samaria. This enables students to bring back to their campuses information that the Jews living there are wonderful families; not wild-eyed radicals as the media portrays them. They also learn the extraordinary 3,000-year Jewish history there. ZOA Campus staff and students enjoyed programming and tours that have been on our traditional itinerary, including visiting sites in ancient Jewish cities like Ma’arat HaMachpelah in Hebron and the City of David in Jerusalem. They also visited new sites that are focal points of the current war, which will undoubtedly be visited for many years to come. Students went to Hostage Square, as well to visit and bear witness at the memorial on the site of the Nova Music Festival massacre near Kibbutz Reim and the “Car Cemetery” Memorial at Moshav Tekumah, where over 1,600 charred civilian vehicles testify to the brutality of the Hamas terror attack. Participants met with top leaders throughout Israeli society. Speakers include former MK Dr. Einat Wilf, one of Israel’s most articulate spokespeople; Eylon Levy, Former Israeli Newscaster and Spokesperson for the State of Israel & International Media Advisor to the President of Israel Isaac Herzog; MK Dan Illouz, one of the youngest and most active members of Knesset (and former ZOA Israel Rep.); wounded IDF Officer Yisrael Sheetrit; Khaled Abu Toameh, award-winning Israeli-Palestinian journalist who is the Arab Affairs correspondent for the Jerusalem Post; Nadia Matar of the Israel Sovereignty Movement; policy and strategy analyst Col (res) Grisha Yakubovich, and more. Students also had the opportunity to experience Eretz Yisrael during Hanukkah, and Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel. THANK YOU to the MZ Foundation for their generosity in sponsoring the ZOA Campus Mission to Israel, so that Jewish students can experience Israel with the Zionist Organization of America, the most unwavering pro-Israel organization in the U.S. We ask all of our friends to donate as well, so that we can continue running these crucial missions for the next generation of American Jewish leaders. We wish you and your loved ones a Happy and Healthy New Year. See you in 2025! Morton A. Klein ZOA National President Alan D.
