Rising temperatures, wildfire smoke, and flooding are not inconveniences—they are direct threats to Genesis’ health, education, and quality of life in California. As the eldest of five, she worries deeply about the world her siblings will inherit.

As the lead plaintiff in Genesis v. Environmental Protection Agency, she and her 17 fellow plaintiffs are urging the EPA to stop permitting life-threatening fossil fuel pollution and take the actions science demands.
