John,
I hope the last few days of your year are going well, and you're finding rest and rejuvenation as we prepare for the end of a tumultuous year of highs, lows, and moments we never before thought possible. Before we say goodbye to 2024, I'm reaching out one last time to ask if you can support our life-saving work fighting for the lived and legal equality of LGBTQ+ Southerners.
You are why we can go where the need is greatest, pivot quickly when disaster strikes, and get creative to support queer folks who need us. Our supporters make all of this work possible, and every dollar you give today will go into our work uplifting LGBTQ+ communities.
This was one of the most expansive years in our organization's history – our Trans Youth Emergency Project became a national program in response to care bans spreading to 26 states. Members of our team wrote a book, Trans Kids, Our Kids, to capture this challenging moment in the movement for trans youth healthcare access, and went on a 15-city book tour to share these stories with communities across the South and Northeast. And we doubled down on our support for our local community, supporting Asheville and Western NC after a devastating hurricane with direct supply drops, a weekly LGBTQ+ Resource & Supply Center, and navigation support as folks began to rebuild.
Thank you for everything you've done to make our work possible, and for your trust in our vision of making our communities safer, more welcoming places for LGBTQ+ people. Please chip in $20, $50, or whatever you can give to help us continue this vital work.
Our team takes your belief in our work and vision for creating change seriously, and our guiding star is always getting direct support – both logistical and financial – directly to communities that need us. I'm so thankful for your support and generosity as we work to defend our progress and support LGBTQ+ through communities from looming attacks.
With love and solidarity,
