As 2024 draws to a close, it’s clear that it’s been a challenging year for 2SLGBTQI communities in Canada and around the world.

However, during such challenging and uncertain times, we know that the strengthand resilienceof community will get us through – and that we couldn't have done it without you.

This past year, Egale has had many highs and wins for 2SLGBTQI communities, like:

- Research:5 major research reports and literature reviewsthat have been published, with an ongoing 5 major research projects in 2025 and beyond.

- Education:15,200+ individualsaccessed the Rainbow Action Hub and its resources to combat anti-2SLGBTQI hate in all provinces and territories, and in 50 other countries.

- Awareness:12 awareness campaignswith over 150 resources createdin English and French, and over 24,000 downloads!

- Legal Advocacy:7 new legal cases and interventionsto fight for the rights and protections of 2SLGBTQI communities across Canada.*

Please know that you have given us and our communities so much hope for the pathway forward– that there will be a time when we all can feel like we belong and are safe to be who we are.

As we move into 2025 and celebrate all that has been done and will be done for 2SLGBTQI communities, I hope you will join us in buildinga future where all are equal, and none are other – the ultimate gift of belonging.
