We are just hours away from a brand new year, so we’ve spent some time reflecting on our hopes for the women and girls of our nation in 2025.

We hope for a better experience for women in America: For many women in our country, the issues they deal with are often ignored. Things like violence against women, sexual harassment, unaffordable childcare, menopause… and, yes, reproductive healthcare. When men (even men with the BEST of intentions) make up the majorities in the rooms where important decisions are being made, women’s issues are not given adequate attention. That is why we need more women’s voices in these important conversations.

We hope to draw closer to gender parity in government: In states across the country, majority-male GOP legislatures are passing draconian laws that discount women’s health, safety, and rights to bodily autonomy. The vast majority of the people making critical decisions about women’s bodies are MEN. That needs to change – which is why Her Bold Move exists.

2025 will be a year that tests us. It will test our patience, our determination, and our commitment to a better country. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we must keep up the fight. Women have made SO MUCH PROGRESS over the last century. We must defend that hard-fought progress on behalf of our mothers, our grandmothers, our daughters, and our friends.
