Over the past few months, we’ve been telling you the stories of four of our members: Miranda, Audrey, Jacob and Gillie. As members of Arise, they are united with more than 1,500 individual members and 155 member groups to build a more equitable Alabama.
Because of our members like you, Arise and our partners have: - Protected renters’ rights through the Landlord-Tenant Act.
- Created state trust funds for affordable housing and public transportation.
- Passed a bill to reduce the state grocery tax.
- Funded Summer EBT to help feed more than half a million children starting in 2025.
