Conflict does not stop for the holidays. On Christmas Day last week, Russia directed more than 70 cruise and ballistic missiles and 100 strike drones at Ukraine. Families are living through unimaginable atrocities and enduring multiple humanitarian crises three years into Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Like you, I'm determined to help more children and families. I grew up in Lebanon during the civil war, and I know firsthand what it’s like to live through violence and hardship. The fact that so many families in Ukraine, Gaza, and other conflict zones have been torn apart has impacted me to my core. It shows me just how important our work is at Project HOPE. Like you, I believe we must never accept the normalization of human suffering.
