The Council passed my bill to make our roads and community safer by allowing DPW to immediately tow and impound dangerous cars on our roads. I’m taking steps to protect our environment by diverting more waste from incinerators. I’m investing in parks, public transit and bike lanes to make our community and the District more livable. I’ve supported a comprehensive and smart approach to addressing public safety that includes enhancing police recruitment, fixing the broken 911 dispatch operation, and creating supports to encourage witnesses to testify in homicide cases.
Together, we are making Ward 1 and the District even more vibrant, livable, safe, and equitable.
