Rep. D. Wonda Johnson, NM State Senate District 5
[[link removed]] Representative Doreen (Wonda) Johnson will be serving her fourth term as New Mexico State Representative for House District 5 in McKinley and San Juan Counties. Wonda’s career has taken her across the Southwest and to the nation’s capital where she spent eight years with the National Indian Education Association in Washington D.C. as their Convention and Legislative Summit Director. In this role, she developed conventions in host cities throughout the U.S. for the 3,000-membership group who worked strategically to pass landmark legislation through Congress. During this time, she also worked on tribal health policies for the National Indian Health Board. Before leaving the Southwest from Phoenix, Arizona, she served under the Governor’s Office of Community and Family Programs where she helped build communities, manage grants, and align government-to-government efforts to maximize community expansion on an array of social, tribal, and prevention initiatives.
Noreen Kelly, NM State Senate District 4

Denise Lang-Browne , NM State Senate District 33
[[link removed]] I'm running for New Mexico State Senate District 33. I've been an outspoken advocate for women's reproductive justice. I've been an activist for behavioral health services and especially our need for more substance abuse treatment facilities.
Melissa Kennelly, District Court Judge, Eighth Judicial District, Division 2
[[link removed]] Melissa Kennelly was appointed Eighth Judicial District judge by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham in April 2019 after being recommended by a judicial nominating commission. She is running in the 2020 Democratic primary to keep her seat. Judge Kennelly graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2010. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Kennelly was an attorney in private civil practice and in the public sector for the court of appeals and the district court. Prior to becoming an attorney, Judge Kennelly served as a police officer for six years in Ohio. She has resided in Taos since 2004, where she serves as a commissioner for her local acequia association.
Idalia Lechuga-Tena, NM State Senate District 20
[[link removed]] Honorable Idalia Lechuga-Tena was the youngest female legislator and the first naturalized woman from México to serve in the New Mexico Legislature in the history of this great state. She represented Albuquerque’s District 21-The International District. She is a proud immigrant, who holds dual citizenship with the USA and México. Representing the United States, she is an International Ambassador for the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace. She is an entrepreneur, rancher, artist, avid violinist, community activist, animal lover, and philanthropist. She is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian and English.
