Friend, for many of us, the winter season is a time of joy and festivity — a chance to enjoy the company of family and friends and reflect on the year past.
Yet, for children in Gaza this moment is marked by fear and uncertainty. For over a year, ongoing attacks have disrupted the lives of millions of children as mass displacement continues and acute malnutrition rises. With winter upon them, children now face the trauma of war alongside another hardship: brutal cold and wet weather.
Since the conflict began, UNICEF has provided children in Gaza with humanitarian assistance including nutritional treatment, vaccinations and educational support.
For as long as it takes, UNICEF will do everything possible to reach children in Gaza — but as conditions worsen, more resources will be needed to protect them.
When you make a gift before midnight tomorrow, you’ll sustain 5X the critical response efforts in Gaza and around the world.
Since October 2023, UNICEF has reached one in three people in Gaza, providing cash assistance to over 850,000 people, including 424,201 children, 23,802 people with disabilities and 98,387 women-headed households.
As the crisis evolves, UNICEF remains ready to help. When a polio outbreak occurred this year, UNICEF and partners quickly mobilized to vaccinate a total of 556,774 children — reaching 94 percent of the target population.
UNICEF’s work in Gaza and other emergency situations is possible because of your willingness to help children caught in the crosshairs of conflict.
Right now, escalating violence and the ongoing challenge of bringing humanitarian aid into Gaza are intensifying children’s needs on the ground.
Before the new year begins, help ensure that UNICEF can do everything possible to scale response efforts and send 5X the relief to every child who can’t wait for crises to end.
We’re grateful for your support for children,
UNICEF USA
