launched a leadership training program for Druze leaders in Israel earlier this month. This initiative aims to empower the Druze community and strengthen their role in Israeli society while promoting justice, equality and social cohesion.
The first of four sessions took place in early December, with Carole Nuriel, ADL’s Senior Regional Director for Israel and MENA, and Sheikh Muafeq Tarif, Head of the Druze Religious Council, leading the event. Sheikh Tarif discussed the challenges and aspirations of the Druze community in Israel, emphasizing their desire to contribute in fields like academia, employment, and education. "We strive to be an essential part of Israel’s vibrant mosaic," he said.
