But numbers don’t tell the whole story.
This year, we passed new laws to protect children on social media, increase access to epipens for people with food allergies, safeguard the privacy of domestic violence victims from tracking software on their cars, expand the red-light camera program, enhance drug price transparency, and more.
We also helped hundreds of children in our district celebrate the holidays with our toy giveaways, helped feed hundreds of families for Thanksgiving with our turkey distributions, brought some cheer to our homebound seniors with our “Cards for Seniors” initiative, and hosted our annual senior proms, picnics, summer concerts, Christmas tree lightings, and veterans’ appreciation breakfast.
I know we have more work to do to ensure that everyone in our community can live in a safer, fairer, more just New York - a New York where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. As we prepare for 2025, my team and I are eager to get back to work. Help us better serve you by filling out my District Survey so we can know what issues you think we should prioritize in the coming year.
