Yesterday, America lost an exemplary leader.

President Jimmy Carter was a selfless man, who uplifted our country and dedicated his life to serving others.

The examples he set - such as his dedication to Habitat for Humanity and how he put his love for his family on full display - are cherished attributes that defined his remarkable character. His presidency will be remembered as trailblazing and part of a great American story.

Rest in Peace, President Carter. Our country and world are a better place because of you.
