I’m a busy working mom. I’m sure many of you can relate to juggling parenting and the demands of work. So when the sign-ups for the school parties come around, I make sure I sign up…for paper plates. I may not have much time to bake or arrange gift bags, but I always make sure to chip in, even if it’s for paper plates.

I like to think that chipping in $5 or $10 to our Defense Fund is just like that. Come January, I’m going to need as much time as possible to navigate the challenges to our democracy and the rule of law. The more we raise now, the less time I have to spend fundraising and more time protecting our communities.

I’m happy to do the hard stuff, but I can’t do it without your support. So, John, can I count on you to donate $5 or $10 to our Defense Fund so I can spend more time fighting back against attacks on our democracy?
