WASHINGTON, DC — The recent rise in hateful, racist, and Hinduphobic rhetoric targeting Indian Americans, along with other immigrant communities, particularly online over the past week, is unacceptable and deeply harmful. Immigrants have always been central to the American story, enriching our culture, driving innovation, and building stronger communities. Such divisive rhetoric undermines the values of opportunity and equality that are at the heart of our nation’s proud tradition. The Young Democrats of America strongly denounce this hateful rhetoric and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a more equitable and just society. Together, we must reject discrimination and honor the legacy of unity and progress that has shaped our country. |
