We are just $19,873 away from our goal to raise $50,000 that will go directly towards our work during the legislative session starting in just 22 days (but who’s counting?) Please consider supporting Stewardship Utah today and help us start 2025 off strong! [[link removed]]
Hey there John,
Greg here with Stewardship Utah. We have less than two days left in our campaign and a shot at raising $50,000 ! Thanks to a generous donor, John Miller of Salt Lake City, we can start 2025 strong. Every donation will be matched up to $25,000. That means your $25 donation becomes $50 and so on, for a total of $50,000 that goes directly to our time at the legislative session, working to pass the impactful policy Stewardship Utah has developed for our land, air, water, and rights to vote . With less than two days left, please consider donating to our crucial work today!
Any donation to Stewardship Utah before December 31st will double your impact on issues we all face, such as the shrinking Great Salt Lake. It is a crucial time to support this work, and Stewardship Utah is proud to be part of the greater effort to restore the lake to healthy levels.
Utahns are facing a water crisis in need of immediate attention. The health of the Great Salt Lake affects agriculture, air quality and climate, surrounding ecosystems, and much more. As a community, we’ve come a long way in bringing attention to the lake over the last few years. However, leadership has yet to determine a single strategy to restore the lake to healthy levels. The urgency of this looming crisis means that legislators and local leaders must rise beyond politics and bickering to create a comprehensive, pragmatic approach to refilling the Great Salt Lake. Many groups are working toward building such a strategy, and Stewardship Utah is a key piece in that coalition.
Please consider donating to Stewardship Utah today, helping us shore up resources for a busy year ahead of us! [[link removed]]

Double Your Impact! [[link removed]]
So what does Stewardship Utah, and your donation, bring to the table? To move solutions forward, coalition members need to deepen relationships with lawmakers, come to the table with clear ideas to get water to the lake and ensure better coordination across the watershed among members. Chandler Rosenberg, our Great Salt Lake policy associate, is doing just that by hosting forums and events for stakeholders to gather and build a roadmap. Through our electoral work, we have built relationships with elected officials–a crucial contribution to the Great Salt Lake Coalition. Chandler is working with our elected partners to close the gap between decision-makers and those directly impacted by changing water policy. Together, we can figure out where to source the water the lake needs and create the means to get it there.
The timeline for this project will span the next 20 years . To reach the minimum healthy level of the lake (4198 ft), an additional 500,000 -1,200,000 acre feet will need to reach the lake. This is a huge task and will require the steadfast commitment of Stewardship Utah and coalition members to shepherd the project.
Please consider supporting Stewardship Utah’s work as a Great Salt Lake coalition member. Your donation, which is doubled if made before the end of the year , will help Stewardship Utah build relationships with new policy leaders and deepen our network as we build a movement for the lake by participating in the upcoming legislative session. Should we be successful, a restored Great Salt Lake will stand as a testament to what Utahns can do when working toward a common goal.
Thank you for your generous support. We are excited to work alongside you as a partner in this coming year.
Onwards,
