John,
Happy (almost) New Year! We’re reflecting on our journey to date—and the truth is, we’ve weathered some difficult storms together, even securing major victories in the process.
We’re ready to keep up the fight in 2025.
Vote Pro-Choice was founded in 2016, prior to Trump’s first election, because as Mitch McConnell blocked President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, we knew that reproductive freedom was in grave danger.
By 2017, we were endorsing pro-choice champions — leaders who unapologetically acknowledged the stakes and prioritized bodily autonomy.
In 2018, we helped to elect a diverse new class of legislative champions who have been stalwart supporters for reproductive freedom ever since.
In 2020, we engaged new voters with our Vote Ruthlessly campaign after the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and then helped secure critical wins in places like Georgia and Pennsylvania.
In 2022, after Roe was overturned, our team immediately launched our ‘Care Is Not Criminal’ campaign, supporting pro-choice judges, district attorneys, sheriffs, and other local and state candidates for office who would help to keep patients and providers out of handcuffs.
And in 2024, despite the presidential outcome, our work to turn out pro-choice voters for down-ballot candidates proved to be a crucial strategy in a difficult election year, producing vital down-ballot wins in places like Nevada and Arizona.
This is another difficult moment, but it’s one we were built for.
Can you help us close out 2024 with a gift to support reproductive freedom nationwide?
We’re only three weeks away from a second Trump administration, and our state and local leaders will be our first lines of defense.
Grassroots support is at the heart of our work, and donations from supporters like you have allowed us to:
-
Build political power in state houses across the country, supporting pro-choice state legislative and executive leaders including attorneys general, secretaries of state, and governors
-
Contribute to historic ballot measure efforts, some of which overturned abortion bans in otherwise red states
-
Fight back in the courts, producing vital state supreme court victories in places like Wisconsin, Michigan, and soon-to-be North Carolina
Before the new year begins, can you support Vote Pro-Choice one last time in 2024?
A donation of any amount directly supports our work engaging critical voters and electing pro-choice champions.
Thank you so much—none of our wins would be possible without supporters like you, and we’re grateful.
Warmly,
Sara Tabatabaie
