Dear Friend,

Now, more than ever, who serves in our state and local government matters. With your steadfast support, we won a resounding re-election victory this year—a testament to our solutions-oriented approach to the challenges before Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. We led the charge on critical wins at the State House too: a record $192 million investment in our behavioral health workforce; passage of the Massachusetts Parentage Act; new laws on climate, opioids, and public health; the most substantial housing law in a generation complete with big wins for our region; and more.

The national political landscape has left many of us grappling with uncertainty about the future of our rights, freedoms, and safety. Cape Codders and Islanders share profound worries about what lies ahead in a second Trump Administration and the challenges it may bring — from the fate of future federal funding for replacement of the canal bridges to heedless obstruction on climate action to an assault on reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights. Together, we must fortify ourselves against whatever headwinds may come. Indeed our work here is more crucial than ever.

We never rest on our laurels, especially when re-election comes every two years. While 2025 is not an election year, the groundwork for sustained action starts now. Your ongoing generous support means we’ll have the resources to maintain the robust, grassroots-led organization that has propelled us to victory in every election.

I would be so grateful if you could make a contribution before the end of the year. Massachusetts campaign finance rules limit political giving annually, so it’s a reality of public office that I need to raise money each and every year. Every amount helps, especially as the calendar year comes to a close.

Thank you for your continued belief in me. I remain steadfast in my commitment to tackling the big challenges we face with forward-looking people-oriented policies no matter what happens in Washington.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season and peace in the new year.

With gratitude,
Julian
