14,681 days and counting. That’s how long Joyce, the elephant, has been suffering.
It all started when she was just a calf in Zimbabwe. Joyce witnessed the brutal slaughter of her family and was torn away from the safety of her herd. From that moment on, her life became one of exploitation, unimaginable pain, and trauma.
Over the decades, she was passed from one venue to another — first as a circus performer, then to zoos and parks where her suffering continued. She was deprived of companionship and kept separated from other elephants.
Now at 40 years old, Joyce remains confined and isolated at Six Flags in New Jersey, her spirit broken after years of trauma.
Joyce’s suffering cannot go on. And right now, during the final hours of 2024, Joyce needs your help. Will you take your support to the next level with a generous donation today? When you make your year-end gift before midnight tomorrow, your gift will be instantly TRIPLED to help advance our campaign for Six Flags to release Joyce and move her to a reputable sanctuary.
