With 21 days left until Donald Trump takes the oath of office – and just four until the Republican Senate majority is sworn in – I need to ask you something:

What would you do if you knew your gift of $5 before the new year could help me fight against the worst of their campaign promises?

Would you give $5, knowing that it would help me fight against Trump's attempts to give his billionaire friends handouts while forcing the middle class to foot the bill?

Here's the thing: people in Washington state elected me to fight for our progressive priorities in the Senate, and that's exactly what I intend to do – no matter who has the majority.

But with under three days until my final quarterly fundraising deadline of the year, I'm currently projected to fall 38% short of my $50,000 goal.

Despite razor-thin wins and narrow majorities, Republicans think they have a mandate to enact their ultra-conservative policy priorities. That's why, with a WAVE of grassroots momentum just days before the new Congress is sworn in, we'll show them they have anything but. So I'm asking: Will you chip in $5 now to help me suit up for the fights ahead?
