Dear John,
Like you, we’re looking forward to the new administration and Congress with trepidation.
We don't want to see our tax dollars used for mass deportations, to enable war crimes, or to enrich billionaires and corporations.
To stop it and build a better future, we need you with us.

In 2025, here are the budget priorities we’ll fight for:
Reigning in the Pentagon. We want a smaller Pentagon budget, so that we can invest in our people and communities. We’re also fighting to stop U.S. arms to the far-right Israeli government, to stop the arms races that make war more likely and perpetuate nuclear weapons, and to replace an ethos of military intervention with one of diplomacy and international law. And we’re prepared to defend against the domestic use of the military in immigration enforcement and against protestors.
Protecting immigrants. The incoming administration is promising mass deportation on a horrific scale, and at great cost to taxpayers. President-elect Trump has said that no cost is too high. We couldn’t disagree more. We’ve been working with allies in the immigrants’ rights movement since the first Trump administration, and we’re prepared to block his plans at every turn.
Using your tax dollars for good. The incoming administration and their corporate cronies are determined to decimate the federal government, climate initiatives, and the social safety net. They must be stopped. We’ll also keep fighting to lay the groundwork for a more responsive federal government, bolder climate action, and a more inclusive and more generous social safety net.
Unlike the biggest think tanks in Washington, we don’t take corporate contributions. We aren’t government-funded. That means we depend on the support of people like you to continue to do this work.
Your support makes a real difference. Please join us and make a gift today. [[link removed]]
