It is demanding work to receive front-line grassroots leaders — with all the fears and uncertainties of this moment, and all the expectations and needs they are carrying from their communities — and accompany them as they find their way to support neighbors and take collective action. UFE’s team has the skills and the trusting relationships to do this hard work. We take comfort knowing that you will be there with us in the difficult months that are ahead.

It is urgent work to deliver curricula and mentorship for leaders who are training communities to keep each other safe amid threats of mass deportation and criminalization. Help us continue empowering grassroots leaders with the resources they need to transform their communities and increase community safety in the months ahead. 

Your gift of any amount will go directly to the costs of supporting, mentoring, and training grassroots leaders in 2025:

• $5,000 will support 20% of the total expenses for a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT).
• $1,000 will pay for curriculum development along with 6 hours of training and mentorship for a partner group that is using popular education to lead “know your rights” trainings
• $750 will allow us to provide a full day of language justice interpretation at a training.
• $100 will cover childcare costs for one participant at a workshop.
• $25 will provide food for a participant at a one-day training.

Be ready, because what is coming won’t be easy, but we are together and not alone. Through collective reflection, critical analysis, and strategic action we transform ourselves and forge ahead with a vision for a more democratic, sustainable, and equitable economy.
