Earlier this year, I visited eastern Chad and Darfur, Sudan, where I saw firsthand the tremendous impact of nearly a year of fighting in Sudan. More than 11 million people have been driven from their homes, and an estimated 25 million are in need of humanitarian assistance—and yet this crisis has largely been ignored by much of the world.
During my trip, I met refugees and MSF team members who have experienced these challenges firsthand. Something I heard again and again is that medical care is incredibly difficult to come by. Between 70 and 80 percent of hospitals in conflict-affected areas are no longer functioning.
Thanks to the support of our donor community, MSF remains one of the few humanitarian organizations providing lifesaving care in Sudan.
We still need your support to continue our work in Sudan and more than 70 countries around the world, and to ensure we can respond to new emergencies as they arise without jeopardizing our existing work. So please, don’t wait any longer: A gift from you today will have THREE times the impact thanks to our year-end match. Rush your support before this offer ends >>
The needs we see all over the world are great—but so is our resolve to provide care. With you by our side, we’ll make every second count.
With gratitude,
