Dear John,
As 2024 draws to a close, we face 2025 with commitment and gratitude for your support. Your contributions [[link removed]] are needed as we work to ensure that democracy and the rule of law prevail against those who are threatened by their durability and instead see our system as an impediment to governance by autocracy.
We are proud of the work we have done this past year, and invite you to read our Annual Report, summarizing what we have accomplished: A Year in Review: 2024 [[link removed]] .
We also invite you to listen to some of the many webinars and podcasts where we continued our focus on the future of democracy, the Supreme Court, and the rule of law. These can all be found on our website in our In the News [[link removed]] tab. Here is a sampling from the past few months:
* Hiding in the Shadows - The Supreme Court, the Shadow Docket, and the Future of Judicial Independence [[link removed]] , featuring Georgetown University Law Center Professor Stephen I. Vladeck and Washington Post Supreme Court Correspondent Ann E. Marimow.
* Defending Democracy and the Rule of Law - A Conversation with former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger [[link removed]] from the Higher Callings Podcast.
* When Lawyers Attack the Rule of Law [[link removed]] , featuring UCLA School of Law Professor Scott L. Cummings and Boston Globe Senior Opinion Writer and Columnist Kimberly Atkins Stohr.
We are already lining up esteemed guests for our 2025 webinars. More to follow on that soon.
If you have not yet provided a year-end contribution, we ask that you donate via this link [[link removed]] . Our passion for this work is enduring and we thank you for your support and sustaining commitment to democracy.
Wishing you all a safe and peaceful 2025,
Lawyers Defending American Democracy
