State of Texas The Texas Supreme Court once again failed pregnant Texans, denying claims the Center brought on behalf of 20 patients who were denied abortion care despite facing dangerous pregnancy complications. The case makes plain that Texas's 'medical exceptions' to its extreme abortion bans just don't work. And with the new lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General against a shield law provider in New York state, pregnant people in Texas—and in other states with abortion bans—continue to be put in danger.
