Team,
What a year.
There's no quick way to summarize this year in the fight for reproductive rights. Together, we saw the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.
Let's make 2025 a year with more 'GOOD.' Your year-end gift to the Center will now go TEN TIMES as far to help us defend and expand reproductive rights around the world.
The Good: "The terrible harms of abortion bans have become clearer by the day—and they've helped to galvanize Americans to come out and demand their reproductive freedom." –Elisabeth Smith, Director of State Policy and Advocacy
In Colorado and six other states, abortion won at the ballot box. That includes a win in Missouri, where voters overturned a total abortion ban for the first time. Your support is crucial as the Center helps champion more revolutionary ballot measures and change the narrative on abortion.

The Bad: "I am outraged on behalf of my fellow plaintiffs who the Court deemed not sick enough... We should not need to beg elected officials for our right to control our own bodies." –Amanda Zurawski, plaintiff in Zurawski v. State of Texas
The Texas Supreme Court once again failed pregnant Texans, denying claims the Center brought on behalf of 20 patients who were denied abortion care despite facing dangerous pregnancy complications. The case makes plain that Texas's 'medical exceptions' to its extreme abortion bans just don't work. And with the new lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General against a shield law provider in New York state, pregnant people in Texas—and in other states with abortion bans—continue to be put in danger.

The Ugly: "Women have already died in TX and GA because of abortion bans. That's just what's been reported. It's the tip of the iceberg." –Nancy Northup, President & CEO
This year, the Center tracked 350 abortion-related bills nationwide that ranged from restricting medication abortion to criminalizing abortion support and codifying other tactics that would make it difficult—if not impossible—to access life-saving reproductive care. While only 28 of these bills passed in 12 states, we know the consequences will be devastating. Women are already dying because of existing laws, and anti-abortion activists are gaining momentum. We expect them to escalate their attacks even further in the new year.
GIVE TO PROTECT LIFE-SAVING CARE X10 ≫
The road to reproductive freedom for all is long—but none of us walk alone. With your help, we can make 2025 a year of progress and hope. Your gift today will now be matched 10X, ensuring we have the resources to fight every battle ahead.
Thank you,
Center for Reproductive Rights
