In Ukraine, award-winning educator Hanna Kuznichuk leads stress management sessions for displaced children. The IRC caseworker combines learning with comfort, providing educational supplies and emotional support.

Hanna Kuznichuk, in Ukraine, knows this all too well.

You can find Hanna in a remote village in the Odesa region.

✏️ An award-winning biology teacher, Hanna now has a new assignment: When the war escalated in 2022, she joined the IRC in order to support the worst affected communities.

In this role, Hanna organizes sessions that teach children about stress management, engage them in games and provide a comforting environment.

Her team also provides displaced families with emergency kits, as well as books, pencils and other supplies that support the children's learning—meeting both immediate needs and supporting the long-term well-being of students in the face of the most challenging circumstances.
