But first, can I tell you a story?
In Horatio, Arkansas, grocery stores are few and far between. While
the local stores are convenient, they're often stocked with
snacks rather than substantial meal ingredients.
For Christine, a mother of four living with a disability, even careful
planning and couponing are sometimes not enough to ensure her kids
have enough to eat. She observes, "you often hear people say,
'just pull yourself up by your bootstraps!' but your
bootstraps only go so far until they break."

No Kid Hungry steps in to help provide a lifeline for families like
Christine's. We support a program that brings nutritious meals
home to kids when they don't have access to school meals. On
days when Christine finds it difficult to even get out of bed for
health reasons, knowing her kids have access to these nutritious meals
is everything.
