Hi John,

There are only a few days left of 2024! As a valued member of OLCV, I wanted to give you a sneak peak of what’s ahead of us in 2025.

John, we’ve got a lot of work to do in 2025 to protect our climate and environment. Will you help by making a contribution to OLCV today? We can’t do it without you. Donate now: [link removed]

First, I have to address the elephant in the room. There is undoubtedly a lot of work ahead of us given the results from the federal election. One of the major tasks we know we will face next year is defending our state from climate threats and attempts to backslide on our progress on climate - all things we can’t afford.

On top of this, with pro-environment supermajorities in both the Oregon House and Senate, we have a responsibility and a mandate to continue making progress on climate. Here’s an inside look into our priorities for 2025:
- Passing a transportation package that centers climate and equity;
- Advancing solutions for more affordable clean energy, including funding popular climate programs and protecting Oregonians from sky-high rate hikes by holding utility companies accountable;
- Protecting our streamflows and responsibly managing Oregon’s water to ensure a legacy of healthy rivers for everyone and everything that depends on our water.

The 2025 legislative session is not far away, so we’re gearing up and equipping our team with everything they need to fight to secure these wins for our climate - stay tuned for more details! There’s so much we can achieve together, but we need your support to get there. Will you consider making an end-of-year gift to OLCV today? Donate now: [link removed]

We’re in a critical time for our state and climate - we all know this - and it doesn’t take much to have a large impact in this fight.

I’ll be busy in Salem throughout the legislative session talking to our elected officials and fighting for our climate, but I can’t do it alone. There’s a lot on the line and it’s going to take all of us doing what we can to get there. Your donation today will fund our efforts to:
- Hold our elected officials accountable for standing up for our climate this upcoming session
- Educate Oregonians with timely updates and action alerts during the legislative session, so our elected leaders know how important it is to us that we continue taking action on climate
- Recruit volunteers to speak directly with elected officials and write testimonials
- Protect our state against federal threats on our climate

This fight is so much bigger than all of us, which makes your donation all the more important and powerful. Your gift goes beyond just a one-time donation. Will you give what you can today to make a larger than life impact in the fight for our climate?

Forward,
Eliza Walton
