I remember the day my father was shot and killed, the pain I felt knowing that he was gone. In that moment, I learned just how destructive gun violence could be and that no one is safe from this harsh reality.

And when the Uvalde shooting devastated Texas two years ago and left 19 children dead, I was more enraged than ever. I asked myself then and I am still asking: When will enough be enough?
