Donald Trump tapped "Doctor Oz" to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Oz is a television host and failed Senate candidate who is reportedly eyeing cuts to Medicaid and a bigger role for Medicare’s private alternative.

Oz — who has also pushed the private "Medicare Advantage" program on his TV show — is following MAGA orders and considering cuts to Medicaid in order to pay for extending Trumps tax cuts, which would reportedly cost approximately $4 trillion over the next decade and primarily benefit richer Americans.
