Team, as we head into the New Year, my team and I have been reflecting on 2024 and the lessons we can take with us into 2025. I want to share some of that with you today. But before I do, this week is our final FEC public filing deadline. Can I count on you to help us have a strong showing? [[link removed]]

Because of your support, we were the top Democratic vote-getters amongst all the House candidates in PA. While the state and the rest of the country swung right — we swung left. In addition, we outperformed our 2020 and 2022 performances.

How did this happen in such a challenging year? We believe that happened for two reasons: 1. Our community-focused campaign that connects with voters year-round, every year
2.
3. Your continuous commitment, support, and involvement in our work

While we were successful, as a party, Democrats could not break through the GOP’s disinformation campaign controlling the airways and causing a deep misunderstanding of our priorities and who exactly is fighting for the people.

We can’t let that happen again in the next cycle.

I won’t lie to you, we face an uphill battle in 2025 to pass the legislation people need and want, especially with the incoming administration and GOP leadership. But that won’t stop me from fighting for it.

I’m dedicated to listening to my constituents and focusing on the needs of the American people. My team is working on creative solutions to use my platform to be an effective opposition that isn’t just advocating for the people but is also holding Republicans accountable. I will continue communicating and reporting back to you on this.

But I can’t do it all alone. We’re facing our first public filing [[link removed]] since the election and the media is working overtime to analyze and pick apart the Democrats' messaging, fundraising, and strategy heading into the Republican trifecta. In moments that feel uncontrollable or overwhelming, it is important to focus on what you can control rather than what you can't control. There are a lot of lessons learned this year and something we need to control is how we optimize getting our message out.

That’s why, ahead of our FEC public filing deadline, we’ve set a goal to activate 218 grassroots supporters to ensure constant communication, effective opposition, and accountability in the new Congress. If you can, please join me today and help us reach our goal with a donation. [[link removed]]DONATE [[link removed]]

I won’t give up, even when the journey is rocky and the battles are uphill. The people elected me to do a job and I will show up every single day to do what I’ve promised.

Thanks,

Madeleine
