Hi everyone, I’m Steven Hartmann from the Tech and Operations team at the Forward Party. Keeping our data organized and housed in one system is key to making our work as efficient and effective as possible. Whether we’re supporting local candidates or engaging with our supporters, streamlined tools help us stay on track and achieve our goals.

One of these critical tools is our Knowledge Base, or KBase — a centralized hub for published guidance, how-tos, and recorded training modules. The KBase ensures that our state and local leaders have quick access to the resources they need to succeed.

As we reflect on 2024 and prepare for what’s ahead, I want to thank you for taking the time to engage with the KBase and use our tools effectively. Your attention to these resources helps us stay organized and better equipped to deliver on our mission.

What Went Well

In 2024, the Forward Party leveraged key infrastructure tools to empower state and local leaders and expand our reach. Using NationBuilder, we managed over 24,000 event RSVPs, sent 2.2 million opened emails, and welcomed 119,000 new supporters to our movement. Our Kbase system provided essential resources, including published guidance, how-tos, and recorded training modules, to ensure our local leaders had the tools they needed to succeed.

Lessons Learned

As we move into 2025, we plan to refine our candidate recruitment processes and expand our Knowledge Base offerings with additional training modules and content, continuing our commitment to building from the ground up and providing practical support to leaders who share our vision for a more collaborative and solutions-oriented political system.

2025 Projects

• Refine internal processes and match them up with the right tools
• Revamp the KBase and add in all of the new training modules
• Continue to manage our systems, website, and business operations
