John, Seeds coated with bee-killing pesticides are widespread. At least 70% of all corn, soybean and cotton grown in the U.S. started as pesticide-coated seeds.1 Those tiny seeds have made 150 million acres of America toxic and often deadly for bees.2 We've set a goal of raising $200,000 by midnight on Dec. 31 to help save bees. Will you donate today? Bees are facing an insect apocalypse. But there are real steps we can take to protect the bees. We're calling on our elected officials to restrict the use of neonic-coated seeds; we're urging Amazon and Home Depot to stop selling bee-killing pesticides; and we're campaigning to protect more habitat for endangered bees like the rusty-patched bumblebee. These campaigns take resources, and we need your help to make our Year-End Drive a success. Our goal is to raise $200,000 by midnight on December 31. To reach that goal, we need the Environment Colorado hive to come together. This is how supporters like you can help save the bees: Your gift today will help keep us on track to meet our Year-End Drive goal, and in turn help us continue to defend the bees. Environment Colorado has already made progress for the bees -- we helped convince Lowe's to commit to stop selling neonicotinoids. And Colorado has already restricted some uses of bee-killing pesticides, but we have more to do. With a little support from you and thousands of others, we can continue our efforts to restore bee-friendly habitat, restrict the worst uses of bee-killing pesticides, and more. Help us reach our $200,000 goal. Donate today to help save the bees. Thank you for being part of our hive, Ellen Montgomery Your donation will be used to support all of our campaigns to protect the environment, from saving the bees and protecting public lands, to standing up for clean water and fighting climate change. None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. Environment Colorado may transfer up to $50 per dues-paying member per year into the Environment Colorado Small Donor Committee. |
