[ [link removed] ]Wear Orange June 5th

John— [ [link removed] ]Save the date: Friday, June 5, 2020 is National Gun
Violence Awareness Day. And we'll all be wearing orange.

In 2013, 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton was shot and killed in Chicago.
After her death, her friends and family wore orange to honor Hadiya and
the hundreds of Americans killed and wounded by gun violence every day.
Every year since then, to coincide with Hadiya's birthday on June 2, we've
worked to continue their efforts by wearing orange on the first Friday of
June and the entirety of that weekend.

So, on June 5th we'll #WearOrange to draw our nation's attention to gun
violence. [ [link removed] ]Save the date on your calendar and join us to raise awareness
for gun violence and Wear Orange on Friday, June 5th and through Wear
Orange Weekend.

This will get Wear Orange added to your personal calendar for June 5th!

John—we know that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, gun
violence is impacting communities across the country. And that's why we're
still doing everything we can to make #WearOrange as impactful as
possible. We're organizing virtual Wear Orange events with community
partners, so that Moms Demand Action volunteers, Students Demand Action
volunteers, survivors of gun violence, and all people in America can come
together in this movement. We'll still be wearing plenty of orange, and
we'll still be connecting with one another to end the nation's gun
violence crisis. We hope you'll join us.

Thank you for being a part of this movement.

Wear Orange 2020

P.S. [ [link removed] ]You'll find over 100 virtual events on our website with more added
every day, [ [link removed] ]including a national Students Demand Action virtual event.
We'll be in touch soon with more details.
