John,
Thank you for your support!

Though unopposed, I received over 450,000 votes in this week's Oregon primary. I will need every one of them, and more, in the fall -- when I will have a contested race.

I think of myself as the People's Attorney -- and have conducted myself accordingly. So I'm committed to defending your safety and rights. I will not allow for the exploitation of this pandemic. I will look out for the most vulnerable among us -- our seniors, families with young children, immigrants, refugees and communities of color -- and (former) students, now saddled with education-related debt.

My record of eight years of service as your Attorney General shows I'm not afraid to stand up against anyone who threatens your well-being. That includes everyone from local scam artists to big corporations, banks, and pharmaceutical companies.

I'm also honored to serve as co-chair of the Democratic Attorneys General Association. In that role, I've led the resistance to the lawlessness of the current federal administration in Washington D.C.

Please remember: You can always count on me to be on the front lines of legal fights to protect access to safe and legal abortions, to take on hate crimes, to protect our clean air and water, and to fight the plague of gun violence.

This is why I'm asking you today to make an early contribution to our general election campaign. So much will be at stake this November. I need your support to be able to do my part.
