Hi John,

As a majority of our world has come to a seeming halt these past few months, our USPS workers and mail carriers nationwide have continued putting their health and safety on the line to keep us all connected.

Our postal workers serve a critical role -- especially for our seniors, veterans, and those in our rural communities. Now, with the pandemic changing the way we conduct our elections, we’ll depend on the USPS to distribute and collect mail-in ballots across Pennsylvania and the country.

Unfortunately, GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump want the post office to be privatized. So now, they are playing politics with relief funding for the USPS, one of our most popular government agencies.

If McConnell and Trump don’t stop their games, the USPS may be forced to close their operation as early as September.

Not only would this put half a million people out of a job and have a devastating impact on our economy but access to a safe and fair election will also be jeopardized.

I appreciate your support in this.

Best,
Mary Gay
