What Newt's Thinking

College Football in September? Of course!

by Newt Gingrich

I was asked recently if I thought we would be able to watch college football this fall.

My flippant answer: “I couldn’t tell my good friend Randy Evans (the US Ambassador to Luxembourg) that his beloved Bulldogs would not be playing in Athens this fall, so yes, we will have college football.”

Then I got to thinking about the question.

It is a commentary on the dominance of the dire, defeatist public health pundits that whether there will be football more than 100 days from now could even be a question.

The question instead should be: “How will we operate so that all sports – college football, professional baseball, professional football, etc. – can be played safely more than three months from now.”

In fact, we should expect that by Labor Day baseball games will be played with socially–spaced crowds, and by the World Series attendance will be close to normal.

Simply put: America should be addressing these challenges with a “yes, and” attitude instead of “no, because” attitude.

COVID-19: Georgia Doesn’t Have New York’s Problem Or Need New York’s Solutions
By Louie Brogdon

The combination of one-size-fits all virus response and lopsided reporting has made for a fairly distorted picture. Most of America is in better shape than you might think.

Stacey Abrams and the Democrats’ Quest for Their Next Superhero
By Aaron Kliegman

Abrams has been the subject of numerous similarly fawning, cringeworthy puff pieces in the past few days. One article in the New York Times explains how Abrams is “making politics a little less fake.”

Order Now : Trump and the American Future: Solving the Great Problems of Our Time

Everything is changing.

From the spread of the coronavirus, to the highs and lows of the economy, and on to the election, 2020 will continue this process of change.

We don’t know yet which way the American people will go, but we can describe what is at stake as the radical democratic left continues to go all out to destroy President Trump and his followers. This wild period of change has been intensified by the virulent spread of COVID-19, but its roots go back to the summer of 2015.

This book puts this kaleidoscope of change into context and outlines the choices Americans face in what may be the most decisive election of our lifetimes. No presidential contest since 1860 has presented the American people with a decision more definitive than the 2020 election offers. It is the radical democratic left vs President Trump.

To understand what is at stake, and what must be done, read this book and share it with your friends and neighbors.

Personally Autographed by Speaker Gingrich (offer ends May 24, 2020)

Newt Gingrich’s TRUMP VS CHINA will serve as a rallying cry for the American people and a plan of action for our leaders in government and the private sector. Written in a language that every American can understand, but still rich in detail and accurate in fact, TRUMP VS CHINA clearly describes China’s multi-pronged attack against the United States and what we must do to combat it.
