Dear friends,
As we look back on 2024, we see that we have such power and resilience in our trans communities. Below are just some of TLC’s accomplishments in the past year, thanks to supporters like you:
We won in Colorado with our first-ever class-action lawsuit, on behalf of trans people in prison.
We launched our Trans Agenda for Liberation Narrative Lab to help tell powerful stories of trans resistance.
We hosted a Black Trans Circles convening in Detroit, with significant local media coverage about lifting up Black trans women leaders in our movements.
We took the global stage, lifting up HIV+ trans leaders at the International AIDS Conference and on the UNAIDS program coordinating board.
We defended the rights of trans youth and adults, families of trans people, and healthcare professionals in Texas—and though we lost in the Texas courts this time, we aren't stopping.
We launched the Action for Transformation Fund to inject $1M into trans-led organizing, healing, and power-building efforts.
We filed an amicus brief on behalf of transgender youth speaking directly to the U.S. Supreme Court to defend their right to receive gender-affirming medical care.
We won in California when the court threw out an anti-trans challenge to the existing law protecting transgender people incarcerated in California.
We hosted a Journalist Education Webinar: “Mapping the Influence of Christian Nationalism Across All Beats.”
We trained movement leaders on implementing disability justice practices within organizing events, protests, meetings, and workshops.
As we look ahead to our collective future, we all need each other, our trans communities need Transgender Law Center, and we need you. Please make a gift of $25, $100, or $500 or more to TLC today [[link removed]].
Thank you for your support,
