Personally I love the chance to spend quality time with loved ones — which is why when my team told me I should send another fundraising email before the end of the year, it made me feel a little bit like this:

But I can’t blame them, they’re right! December 31 marks an important FEC fundraising deadline, and we still need help to reach our $10,000 goal.

Once I’m officially sworn in on January 3, there’s going to be a lot of work to do on behalf of our neighbors up and down Delaware.

And with Donald Trump in the White House and a new Republican majority in Congress, things are certainly looking chaotic.

But no matter what, I’m going to remain focused on the work Delawareans elected me to do: bringing down costs, standing up for workers, and making sure the progress we’ve made with the Affordable Care Act is protected.

So, I can't thank you enough for all the support you've shown me throughout this campaign. And I'm grateful to know that you'll continue to have my back in the months ahead.
