Friend,
It’s an honor to organize together for justice, year after year.
Come with us on a tour of Hanukkah at Bend the Arc through the
years!
In 2015, Jews
and allies showed their support for the movement for Black lives by
dedicating their menorahs to the fight for racial justice.
In 2017,
Hanukkah was a protest against Steve Bannon and Rep. Lee Zeldin during
Trump’s first administration.
In 2020, we
hosted Lights of Resistance, a national online Hanukkah lighting to
celebrate our election wins with partners from around the country.
2021 was a
poster declaring our fight in solidarity for a country free from
racism, antisemitism, and white supremacy.
In 2022 our
Hanukkah celebrations included a BIPOC Hanukkah party for Jews of
Color and their loved ones.
This year, we
made a poster to say Jews will always resist fascism and dream
ourselves into the future.
If
you haven’t yet, download
the 2024 resistance menorah here.
If you already printed the
poster, please send us a photo of where you put it up before the
holiday ends! Email us at
[email protected] or tag us on social media.
We are grateful to be in this movement with you. These memories
remind us that our multiracial Jewish community is powerful, and
together we are changing the country around us.
Wishing you a
bright and meaningful Hanukkah,
The Bend the Arc team
PS: With our year-end fundraising deadline approaching, we hope
you’ll consider including Bend the Arc in the list of organizations
you support. Your
donation of $10, $36, or any other amount will help keep the flame of
resistance lit for the critical months to come.
